Ms. Kathryn Lloyd Mitchell died peacefully on November 30,2014 in Daphne, AL at the age of 82.Kathryn is survived by her children: Raif C. Mitchell, Jr., Ricky Mitchell (Cynthia Mitchell) and Ronny Mitchell (Laura Mitchell); her brother: Robert Lloyd (Virginia Lloyd); grandchildren: Kathryn Michelle Rath (Jack Rath), Melissa Anne Engelke, Raif C. Mitchell III, Ricky Mitchell, Samantha M. Galbreath (Drew Galbreath), Amy N. Mitchell (Annie Mitchell), niece and nephew: Robin L. Upton and Robert Lloyd and many great-grandchildren and friends. Kathryn is preceded in death by her father Robert G. Lloyd, mother Mary L. Campbell and her daughter Kathryn M. Stracener.Kathryn was born on August 5,1932 in Columbia, SC to Robert and Mary Lloyd. Kathryn began working for Alabama Orthopedic Clinic as a telephone operator over 20 years ago. She possessed a kind, generous and loving spirit and was always there to help family and friends in need. She was most beloved and will be sorely missed by all.A memorial is scheduled for 10 o'clock am, Tuesday, December 9th 2014 at Serenity Funeral Home, with a chapel service to follow at 12 noon at Serenity Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kathryn's life. The family would like to thank Eastern Shore Rehabilitation and Southern Care Hospice for their care and dedication to the care of Kathryn in her final days.
