KATHRYN "KATE" JULIA COONS's Obituary
PERRY-
Kathryn “Kate” Julia Coons passed into the Heavenly home of the Almighty Father on February 8, 2025. She stated that morning that she was “ready to see God”.
Kate was born on January 31, 1963, to Allan M. Coons and Mary Julia Richter Coons in Hudson, New York. She attended the 2-room schoolhouse in Copake, NY and moved on to the Roeliff Jansen Elementary and Middle School. She graduated from Taconic Hills High School in 1981. She attended Duke University.
Kate had a career in medical supply management and automotive administration.
Kate’s greatest love was for all creatures, great and small, domestic or wild. She contributed to many organizations that rescued, neutered, treated injuries and released, no-kill, or provided a habitat where animals could live out their lives.
Kate is survived by her mother, Mary Richter Coons; sisters, Jennifer L. Mastrovito and Mary Louise Morris; her niece, Keri Morris; and her uncle, Karl F. Richter. She is predeceased by her father, Allan Coons; and her uncles, Frank Richter and Malcolm Richter.

The family wishes to acknowledge the prayers and support given to Kate during her illness prompted by the First Baptist Church in Perry, Georgia.
