Kathie Ellingburg, 58, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 in Macon, Georgia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Crossroads United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity..
Kathie was born in Kokomo, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Ed Binion.
After High School, she attended Pensacola Junior College. She had lived in Perry for the past 4 years moving from Mississippi. She was currently the church secretary for the First Baptist Church of Haynesville. While in Mississippi, she was the manager of the Kay Jewelers and past employee of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She was also very active in numerous community projects and fundraisers, including the "Make a Wish" Foundation. Kathie was a past member of the Mississippi Jaycee Governor's Corp and was a active member of the Van Winkle United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Crossroads UMC, Living World SS Class, and very active with UMW locally and on the District Level. Kathie truly loved her family, her friends, her church, music, and was a "bundle of energy".
Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Basil Ellingburg of Perry: one son, Brian Ellingburg of Perry; mother and stepfather, Joy and Joe Albright of Perry; siblings, Sue Ann Riley of Royal Center, Indiana, Barbie Bozeman of Perry and Sandy Marsh of Pensacola, Florida.
