OUR GRANNYStrong, gullible, loving, stubborn, nurturing, inspirational, compassionate, amazing, opinionated, dependable, at times overbearing, forgiving and family orientated. These words while simple, begin to paint a detailed portrait of the woman we all knew and loved. Granny was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother. She was born November 29, 1948. She was married to our Papa for 50 years. In her lifetime she raised kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She worked hard to build a solid foundation for her family. You never saw her lounging around. She was always doing something; whether it was cleaning, cooking, gardening, "junking", or more cleaning. She was always outspoken, no matter if you wanted to hear it or not. Her advice came from her big heart and lifetime of wisdom. SOME THINGS WE WILL ALWAYS MISS ABOUT OUR GRANNY* The love she had for her "sidekicks", Truman and Peanut. * Her door was always open - "literally". She rarely locked it. Her heart and generosity knew no bounds. * Watching our nightly TV shows together like, Survivor, Amazing Race, Revenge, and American Idol.* Our birthday cupcakes.* Picking on her because of her priceless reactions....We will always have a little bit of those hilarious reactions in our Uncle TJ.* Sticking Egg Rolls and all other sorts of things in her purse at the buffets.* Most of all Granny's wonderful homegrown country cooking. Especially, the taste of her delicious homemade biscuits and gravy. We may no longer see her but we'll always have these special moments we shared with her. She will always have a special part in our hearts. Let's just be thankful that we knew a special lady like Granny. She was loved and adored by many, but especially by us grandkids. Although, she will be greatly missed, we know she is eternally at peace with our Papa.
