Karen Elaine Williamson's Obituary
Karen Elaine Matthews Williamson, age 65, a resident of Eight Mile, Al passed away on February 9, 2017. Karen will be remembered as a loving, kind-hearted and merciful woman who was a great mother to her three sons, a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren and an exceptional wife to her late husband of 45 years. Karen was a member of Moffett Rd. Baptist Church, where she served in the nursery and funeral committee. She was also a retired nurse from Mobile Infirmary. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Devon Williamson; mother, Ethel Allday; brother, Alan Williams, and sister, Elaine Williams. She is survived by three sons, Chris (Amy) Williamson (Hampden, ME), Clay (Sameila) Williamson (Elba, AL), and Casey (Tiffany) Williamson (Semmes, AL); grandchildren, Kayleigh, Casen, Madilyn and Luke; brother, Steven (Kitty) Matthews, and sister-in-law, Mary Helen Williamson and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
