June Ritchie Oberlander, 82, passed away on April 17, 2013 . A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Andrew United Methodist Church. Interment will be later in Richmond, Virginia. Mrs. Oberlander was the daughter of the late William Howard and Annie Lee Wilson Ritchie and had lived in Perry for the past 4 years. She was born in Richmond, Virginia and went to Longwood College..
A retired kindergarten teacher, she taught for over 20 years in Virginia, and authored a book, "Slow and Steady, Get Me Ready". Mrs. Oberlander attended Andrew United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Clyde G. Oberlander; children, Barbara Jansen (Randy) of Kathleen, Steven G. Oberlander (Shelley) of Lovettsville, Virginia; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
