Julia Rose Morton's Obituary
Julia Pippin Morton, 65, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Warner Robins. A Graveside Service for will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 2:00 pm in Perry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday , November 22, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry.
Julia was born on January 17, 1948, in Monroe County to the late Ralph Alonzo Pippin, Sr. and Aleta Marsh Pippin. She was a graduate of Mary Persons High School.
Julia was employed with the Houston County Board of Education for 30 years , where she worked as a bookkeeper. She spent the majority of her career working at Perry Middle School. She also enjoyed working at the Georgia National Fair for the past 19 years, as well as, the Perry Swap Meet. She had a passion for photography and gardening, and was an avid reader. She attended Harmony Community Church in Warner Robins. Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Charles Albert Morton.
Survivors include her two sons, Brian Morton (Jennifer) and Keith Morton; her brothers, Ralph "Pip" Pippin(Tammy) and Wayne Pippin (Dianne) ; one granddaughter, Mia Claire Morton; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon , Georgia 31201 or the American Diabetes Association, 1701 Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
