Judy 'nana' Flournoy Drummond's Obituary

Judy Flournoy Drummond, 59, passed away on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral Services will held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Perry with interment in Perry Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Judy was a lifelong resident of Perry and was the daughter of the late Harold and Thelma Burgess Flournoy.
She was a long time member of First Baptist where she taught Sunday School for years, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Baptist Women's Group. Judy was a forty plus year employee of the Bank of Perry and a member of the Akikta Club. Her family and her faith were most important to her. In the last 4 years, Judy treasured her role as Nana to Presley and Ethan.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 22 years; Rusty Drummond of Elko; children, Heather Ward (Joe) of Los Angeles, California, Stephany Darden (Samm) of Atlanta, and Russell Drummond of Elko; siblings, Barbara Witherington (Mike) of Hawkinsville, Sandy Wood (Larry) of Perry, and Bill Flournoy (Barbi) of Elko; grandchildren, Presley Ward and Ethan Ward. Judy will be missed by the countless lives she touched, all of whom she called friends.
