She then worked in the Tax Commissioner’s office and rose to the elected position of Tax Commissioner of Houston County, an office she held for 17 years. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

For over 30 years, Juanita enjoyed attending theater presentations and other live performances. Her travels took her to various parts of the United States as well as two most memorable visits to Europe. Juanita’s enduring beauty, amazing expertise in the kitchen and infectious laugh will always be cherished by her family and her friends.
