JOYCE SCHOLL's Obituary
HAWKINSVILLE, GEORGIA –
Joyce DeLaine Scholl (Haley), 63, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, April 10, 2026. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P. O. Box 52, Perry, GA 31069.
Joyce was born in Toledo, Ohio, where she lived a good bit of her life. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toledo. She had a natural ability for helping people and thus, a successful career as a social worker for various organizations in Hillsdale, Michigan, and in Hawkinsville, Georgia. In 2019, Joyce moved to Georgia to be near her sister and family. An animal lover, she would often rescue a cat who just showed up at her house, feeding them and nurturing them while they were nearby. Bailey, though, was her canine companion for the past 18 years and was treated like a member of the family. Joyce enjoyed cooking and baking, trying new recipes and sharing bites with Bailey from time to time.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Skip and Glenda Haley, and a sister-in-law, Connie Haley.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Joyce are her beloved daughter, Jennifer Rodgers (Raymond) of Kendallville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Logan Amon, Dalton Rodgers, and Dakota Rodgers; her sister, Shelly Hall (Michael) of Perry; her brothers, Scott Haley and David Haley (Kathy Hanes), both of Toledo, Ohio; her nephew, Nathan Hall of Perry; her niece, Ashley Jones (Evan) of Perry; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and several cousins and friends.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at https://www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
