She will always be remembered fondly. May her soul rest in peace. She was a wonderful human being.
I have a lifetime of memories of your parents, your Uncle Charles, and your grandmother, Miss Irva. Your mother always held a special place in my heart. So many memories... her love of teaching, creating Jones Gardens (Some of Mama's flowers are there.), her love of mankind, and her genuine interest in my life (I'd get tickled because she always wanted "Details, please".). I know you are proud to be her daughters. She was proud to be your mother.
My deepest sympathy to the family. Mrs. Jones was my teacher in the early 70s. She was an awesome person and will be missed by many.
Selects and Valerie,I first met your mom only weeks after arriving in Perry, when she welcomed me as her student teacher in the fall of 1973. She made me feel welcomed and encouraged me from that day forward. She impacted many, many lives. May you find comfort and peace in your memories and in those shared with you.
Valerie and the entire Jones familyMrs. Jones was a true teacher whom cared about her students and people in general. Even after I had finish school and had a family of my own Mrs. Jones would stop by my job and give out advise. She shared about how she would save dimes and cash in at the end of the year. She will truly be missed, thanks Valerie and Selena for sharing your mother with us.
Selecia and Valerie-I have waited to add something to the guest book because in my experience you receive so many thoughts, cards, emails and cards they all can sometimes run together. I have such fond memories of your mama. Spending the night with Selecia...her love for our Thespian group and how dedicated she was in all of us performing our best. She was so very proud of her girls and the love she had for people spilled over into my life. I am a better person because of her impact on my life as a teenager. Her laugh was contagious and her enthusiasm for life was so uplifting. Know that I think of you often at odd times during the day and night and whisper a prayer up for both of you. The next few months and weeks will have all kinds of legal junk that have to be accomplished but I pray you both have some wonderful times together as you finish up all those details and will forever honor your mother's life with your own.
Selecia and Valerie,I am so sorry about the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady and an exceptional teacher. I am so proud that I had the privilege to have been one of her students. She was loved by so many who will always have fond memories of her. May God be with you and all of your family during this difficult time.
Always loved when Mrs. Jones was a substitute teacher in any of our classes. She was so smart, funny and friendly. My condolences to her family.
Selecia and Valerie, I am deeply saddened to hear about the death of your mother. I have known Joyce for several years through the Crochet Club of Middle Georgia. I always found her to be very pleasant and friendly. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Swarn Arora
