Joseph Austin Roberts' Obituary
Age 80, a native of Mobile, AL and longtime resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. A U.S. Navy Veteran, he was a Life Member of the U.S.S. Forrestal Association, and an avid Square and Round Dancer who enjoyed many friends made along the way. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a brother, Richard H. "Bubba" Roberts. He is survived by his children, Joseph E. Roberts and Tina E. Faulk; four grandchildren, Kevin J. Ranck, Owen M. Ranck, Hannah M. Faulk and Raimee J. Roberts; one great-grandchild, Isaiah H. King; two sisters, Janet L. Yawn (Ronald), Anne Askew (Horace); two brothers, Douglas Roberts (Bonita) and Stephen Roberts; one very special friend, Carolyn Goodman; and many other relatives and friends. He requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 1 pm until service time. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
