Johnnie Welch, age 95, a native of Mississippi and a longtime resident of Eight Mile, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Duluth. He was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Chickasaw, choir member and Deacon. He is survived by his wife, Merle Welch, children, Johnny Don Welch, Joanie Massingill, Steve (Toni) Skipper, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Chickasaw on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
