PERRY-John Ernest Ginn, 70, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, after injuries sustained in a bicycle accident. A private Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will visit with friends and celebrate John with a reception on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Perry United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA 31069 or Friends of Perry Animal Shelter (FOPAS), 1028 Macon Road, Perry, GA 31069.John was born in Macon, the only child of the late Ernest W. and Sadie Kate Haynie Ginn. He graduated from Macon's Willingham High School with the Class of 1964. John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He later proudly served our country in the U.S. Army National Guard for a number of years. John had a long career as a Procurement Agent with Georgia Power from where he retired. He was a member of Perry United Methodist Church and the Christadelphian Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Abbie Sue Hunt Ginn; and his children, John Franklin Ginn and David Ernest Ginn.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
