DANVILLE, GA- John Anthony Uburtis, 61, passed away at his home on July 30, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on July 21, 1957, in Brockton, MA, to his parents, Mr. Edward Anthony Uburtis (Deceased) and Mrs. Helen Christine (Spillane) Pateline. John was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a Mortgage Servicer with Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, GA. He was of the Catholic faith and an avid golfer, and he loved his Boston Sports Teams. He also enjoyed backyard get-togethers and just having a great time with his family and friends. Services for John will be private. John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan K. Egermier Uburtis; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Firth, Halifax, Massachusetts; his son and daughter-in-law, Derek Julie Uburtis, Social Circle, Georgia; his mother, Helen Christine (Spillane) Pateline, and bonus father, Edward Pateline, Kingston, MA; his bonus mother, Beverly (Cummings) Uburtis, Halifax, MA; his brother and sister-in-law, Peter Karen Pateline, Kingston, MA; his sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and David Barnard, Pembroke, MA; his brother, Edward Uburtis Jr., Halifax MA; his grandchildren, Hunter Firth, Halifax, MA, and Christian John Uburtis of Social Circle, GA; his fur-babies Bruschi, Brady, and Rosie; as well many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
