Joanne was the owner and operator of Joanne's Perry Florist for over 30 years. Through the years, many, many people have received beautiful arrangements and dish gardens that Joanne, herself, designed. Her creativity and desire to make each order comforting and pleasing to each recipient shone through in her work. She loved her job, and she loved the people she served. Joanne enjoyed fishing and spent many hours watching a cork with her family and friends. Later in life, more of her time was spent focusing on her grandchildren and their extracurricular activities. She cherished the moments with each and every family member, and will always be remembered as their glue that kept them all together. She was a member of Second Memorial Baptist Church. Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Joe Flowers.
Left to cherish the memories of Joanne are her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Billy Wells of Perry; her children, William Wells, Jr. (Rae Ann), Joey Wells (Keshia), and Mike Wells (Michele), all of Perry; her mother, Inez Baker of Perry; her brother, Bobby Jan Flowers (Mary); 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
