Jim Stone's Obituary
HAYNESVILLE-
Jim Stone, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 23, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Haynesville Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P. O. Box 52, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Jim was born in Hawkinsville and grew up in Haynesville. A 1985 graduate of Perry High School, he also graduated from Macon State College's Nursing Program. He was Registered Nurse for 20 years, having worked as the Regional Director for DaVita Dialysis Center and later for Fresenius Dialysis Center. Jim was very talented and creative. He had a wonderful singing voice and enjoyed singing at various churches through the years. He also loved creating beautiful flower arrangements on special occasions for friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Stone.
Left to cherish the memories of Jim are his children, Heather Holderfield, Olivia Stone, and Kolten Stone, all of Macon; his mother, Shirley Shipes Stone of Haynesville; his sister, Teresa Stone Morris (Wayne) of Hawkinsville; his brother, Brian Stone (Sandy) of Ft. Valley; one grandchild, Dean Baldwin; his maternal grandmother, Nell Shipes of Haynesville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and many cousins.
