JIM KING's Obituary
PERRY –
James Paul “Jim” King, 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 24, 2021. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Crossroads United Methodist Church, with the Visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Crossroads United Methodist Church, 1600 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Jim was born in Perry to the late Paul B. King and the late Wanda Ross King. He worked as a baker at Wilson’s Bakery in Warner Robins for fourteen years, and had been working as a Stock Clerk for the past eighteen years at Kroger in Perry. Jim loved fishing, playing pool, and singing karaoke with his family. An avid Miami Dolphin fan, he liked watching football and NASCAR races on television. He also enjoyed riding country roads and going to church. He was a member at Crossroads United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty years, Sonia Poggi King of Perry; his sons, Jamie King and Carl King, both of Perry; his sisters, Jeanie Cassell (Kim) of St. Simons, and Sandy Adkins (Van) of Perry; and several nieces and nephews, including niece, Courtney Victor.
