Life Legacy
BONAIRE -Jewel Christine Fowler Roland, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Mrs. Roland was born in Cherokee County, Georgia, to the late Phillip and Lillie Mae Prince Fowler. Her whole life, she loved homemaking, creating a loving home environment for her children and grandchildren. In her earlier days, she delighted in dancing for family enjoyment, and she became quite good. Mrs. Roland enjoyed cooking and sewing, and learned to love crocheting afghans as gifts for her family and friends. She had lived in Houston County since 1973 and was a Private Caregiver in Home Healthcare, mostly working for Eldercare, Inc. A lady with a huge heart and a love for animals, she often took in stray cats until she could find them a loving home. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Carol Roland Morris.Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Roland are her son, Craig Roland of Warner Robins; her grandchildren, Angel Morris, Charity Morris, James Morris, Kristen Roland, David Craig Roland, and Erin Roland; 7+ great-grandchildren; her siblings, Brona Langston of Centerville, Lila Peryl Mellinger of Tennessee, and David Leon Womack of Bonaire; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
