Jerry Leavon Prater Sr's Obituary
Jerry L. Prater, Sr., age 80, a native of Babbie, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile County passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014. He was a Southern Baptist music minister for 49 years and also a long time business owner in Mobile Co. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Clara Reaves Prater, son, Leavon (Pamela) Prater, grandchildren, Trey (Danielle) Prater, Jeremy (Stephanie) Prater, Justin (Courtney) Prater, great grandchildren, Kinley, Karrington, Kambree, Paige, Savannah, Layne, Perry, siblings, Jean Price, Betty Arnold, Helen Nelson, Arthur Prater, Gloria Vaughn, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at Indian Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10 am from the church. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
