PERRY-Jerry Albert Moss, 71, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., cryptside at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the donor's favorite charity.Mr. Moss was born in Appalachee, Georgia, to the late Julion and Myrtis Ruark Moss. He lived most of his life in Perry. Mr. Moss was a construction contractor, owning and operating his own business for many years. He worked on and built many houses in Houston County and did contract work for several different builders. His greatest passion in life was his family. Jerry was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Moss, J.W. Moss, and Hughlon Moss.Left to cherish the memories of Jerry are his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Mabel Davis Moss; his children, Tim Moss (Penny), Jeff Moss, Roger Pearce (Ann), and Robert Pearce; his adopted sons, A.J. Moss, Richard Moss, and Noah Moss; his siblings, Rueban Moss (Jackie), Yvonne Chaney, Judy Sullivan (Joey), Dianne Wilson, Larry Moss (Kathy), and Mary Redmond (Edward Kirksey); 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
