JEFFREY LEE PEARSON's Obituary
PERRY – Bishop Jeffrey Lee Pearson, 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to On Fire Ministries, 112 Cardinal Avenue, Perry, GA 31069.
Jeffrey was born in West Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late DeRuss and Ruth Muncy Pearson. He was a glass blower for Midland Glass in Indiana for twelve years and transferred to Anchor Glass in Warner Robins, where he retired after thirty-four years. Mr. Pearson became an Ordained Bishop and preached at Bethel Pentecostal Church for several years. He was a National Youth Coordinator at First Church of Jesus Christ in Tennessee and was a great supporter of the youth in every church where he attended or preached. Bishop Pearson enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. Painting was a passion of his, and he was proud and honored to donate original paintings for various fundraisers with the benefits being donated to individuals diagnosed with life-threatening diseases to help them with medical expenses. Jeff was a devout husband, a committed father, and a dedicated grandfather who will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Jeff are his loving and faithful wife of forty-nine years, Monna Cass Pearson of Perry; his children, Summer Dawn Roman (Ricardo) of Warner Robins, Rusty Pearson (Brandi) of Perry, Jemel Riggins of Twiggs County, and Tremel Riggins of Perry; eight grandchildren; a brother, Bob Pearson (Jeannette), and a sister, Helen Pearson Keller, both of Terre Haute, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Jeff’s parents and a brother, DeRuss Pearson, preceded him in death.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
