PERRY-Jefferson Marion Hunt, Sr, 77. passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 after an extended illness. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home.Mr. Hunt was the son of the late Elder George Riley, Sr. and Lilla Estelle Greene Hunt. He had lived most of his life in Houston County. After attending Georgia-Alabama Business School, he started his long career at Wirebound Box Company, where he retired after 43 years of service.Left to cherish the memories of Marion are his children, Jefferson Marion "Jeff" Hunt, Jr. (Linda) of McComb, MS, and Angel Johnson (Christopher) of Brunswick, GA; his grandsons, Jay Poston and Christopher Poston, both of Huntsville, AL; his great-grandchildren, Lexie and Jaylyn Poston; his siblings, Mary Wilson of Kathleen, Riley Hunt (Sandra) of Perry, and Allen Hunt (Mary) of Perry. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Martha Lou Davis Hunt, who died in February of 2007.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
