Jeff Walker's Obituary
HENDERSON-
Jeff Walker, 38, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry with Brother Mike Britt officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Church Cemetery in Rhine, Georgia, immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 9, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to a fund in memory of Jeff at www.dragbike.com.
Jeff was born in Albany and moved to Perry as a young child. He remained in the area all of his life. A 1992 graduate of Perry High School, he was a Baptist. Jeff was a performance motorcycle racing enthusiast, and had a wealth of knowledge when it came to tuning a race bike. He was a member of WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and AMRL (American Drag Racing League). He took his job seriously, had a great sense of humor, and was a lot of fun to be around at the racetrack. He was Mac McAdams' crew chief. Jeff also built motors for other bike racers, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Reba Mae Walker.
Left to cherish the memories of Jeff are his children, Sarah Grace Walker and Kade Walker, both of Perry; his parents, Gary and Teresa Walker, of Perry; his paternal grandfather, James W. Walker, of Albany; his maternal grandparents, Juanita and Lester Chevallier, of Leesburg; his sisters, Ashley Walker and Lesley Walker, both of Perry; two nieces; and one nephew.
