I came to know and love Mrs. Nation through her grandson Matt. Whenever Matt and I went to her house if it was supper time she would always invite us to eat supper with them. She was a loving gentle woman as was her late husband Harold. They were kindest people you could meet. She will be greatly missed.

I worked with Jean for 10 years. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I often thought of Her . Rest In Peace Jean. You will be sorely missed.

Dearest Gay: It was with such sadness that I showed Mother Jean’s photos. She’s not cognizant of a lot, but she recognized your Mom’s smile and said “long ago”. Mother was at the Courthouse and Jean at Walker-Rhodes and, I think, in the same Sunday School class. I am grateful for your mom’s dear friendship - especially in recognizing Mother’s dementia, even during a time when so much was going-on in her own life. I will forever remember her as ALWAYS a Caring and Compassionate Lady. We were blessed with her friendship.

Vickie, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for you and your family. Your mom was a special lady.
