Jean Mullins Curtis' Obituary
Jean Mullins Curtis, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away on April 13, 2015 at Providence Hospital. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Malcolm (Mike) Brown Curtis, who passed away on February 25th, 2015, just six weeks before her. Jean is survived by her three children, Phyllis Wolff, Thirston Phillips (Terry Phillips), and Jeffrey Phillips, her brothers Jack Mullins and Gerald Mullins, and her grandchildren Jared Phillips (Beth Phillips), Candace Cassidy, Zachary Phillips, Jeremy Wolff, Rachel Vick (Ted Vick), Christian Wolff (Mandy Wolff), Jeffrey Phillips, Christina Bailes, Nanette Wilson (Angel Wilson), Chantelle Day (Brian Day), Sean Wooten (Chancy Wooten) and Sara Rusich She is also preceded in death by her grandson Joshua Phillips. In total, she has survived by 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great great grand-children. She is also survived by her dear friend Bekki Simmons.In 1992, with both of their families by their side, Jean and Mike were married in Mobile, at Christ United Methodist Church. They resided together at their home in Irvington until their deaths. Around 1998, they became enthusiastic members of a local R.V. camping club. They loved to go camping, spend time with their friends, spend time with their family, talk about their grand-children and great grand-children, and talk about the loved ones that passed away before them.More than anything else in life, Jean loved her family and those who were close to her. Simply talking about her grandchildren would excite her more than anything else in life. She always wanted to know how everyone was doing.
