JANICE HINSHAW's Obituary
PERRY –
Janice Griffin Hinshaw, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, after a brief illness. Services will be private.
Janice was born to the late Marvin Griffin Sr. and Ruby Phillips Griffin in Kathleen, GA. She grew up on the farm and graduated from Perry High School. She accepted a position with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Janice then transferred with Civil Service to the Army Base in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and eventually transferred to Naval Air Depot at NAS in Pensacola, Florida, as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic from where she retired after over twenty years, making her total time with the Department of Defense being thirty-four years.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings, Marvin Griffin Jr., Margaret Bragg, Joyce Rathgaber, Horace Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Mary Hammock, Ann Williams, Neal Griffin, Eddie Griffin.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Janice are her loving and devoted son, Kenny Sutton of Perry; her siblings, Theresa Barker (Harris), Ted Griffin (Debra); Peggy Averett (Dave), Karen Beason (Jimmy), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
