James Horace Sciple's Obituary
James (Jim) Horace Wiggins Sciple, 74, a resident of Grand Bay, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Charlotte Jean Sciple; children Judy Holmes, Tracie Lawrence (Larry), Shelley Williams (Ricky); grandchildren, Khari Bosarge (Josh), Courtney Brannan (Josh), Eric Lawrence, Candice Williams, Evan Lawrence, Kalyn Williams; great-grandchildren, Brileigh Bosarge, Makenzie Brannan, Ava Yeend, Jacob Brannan, and other family and friends. Jim was born on May 10, 1942 in Mobile, Alabama. He graduated from Murphy High School in 1960, and served a tour of duty in the U. S. Marine Corps. He loved to say that "there's no such thing as an ex Marine". Jim attended Auburn University where he majored in architecture. He was an active architect licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi. Over the years he has donated countless hours of architectural services to churches, friends and family. His most recent design was the new Education/Administration Building for First Baptist Church of Tillman's Corner.Jim enjoyed sports and officiated high school football for 40 years. He refereed three state championship games and two Alabama-Mississippi all-star games.The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 14th 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home. There will be a celebration of Jim's life on Friday, July 15th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Tillman's Corner with the Rev. Greg Pouncey officiating. Graveside services will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
