James Russell 'Rusty' deYampert's Obituary
James Russell "Rusty" deYampert, 57, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, after an extended illness. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Perry at 1:00 p.m., with the Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Crosspoint Baptist Church, 645 Perry Parkway, Perry, Georgia 31069. Rusty was born in Smackover, Arkansas to the late James William and Violet Strickland deYampert in July of 1960. He graduated from Dothan High School and then went on to earn a degree from Troy State University. Mr.deYampert spent many years working for DSI Logistics as their warehouse manager. Rusty was married to love of his life, Cathy Sullivan, for 35 years. He had a passion for collecting comic books and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. He shared his love for the Lord as a member of Crosspoint Point Baptist Church. Rusty was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish the memories of Rusty are his loving wife, Cathy deYampert, a daughter, Whitney Aper (Jordan) of Ogden, Utah and a son, Sullivan deYampert (Lindsay) of Kathleen, Georgia; a grand-daughter, Lucy deYampert; two brothers, Gary deYampert (Vicki) of Smackover, Arkansas and Rick deYampert of Palm Coast, Florida.
