James Richardson's Obituary

SMSgt James A Richardson USAF(ret), 72, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Point Baptist Church in Perry. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins immediately following the service. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry.
Mr. Richardson was born in Alexandria, Virginia, to the late Alvin and Oneita R. Richardson. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He served in many stations across the nation throughout his career and was a Viet Nam veteran. He worked as a Program Manager in civil service at Robins Air Force Base for 22 years. Mr. Richardson enjoyed building Hot Rods in his spare time. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth A. Richardson; and two sisters, Barbara Stewardson and Marlene Bennemann.
Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Richardson are his loving and devoted wife of nearly 50 years, Dorothy Sharon Richardson of Kathleen; his children, James E. Ward of Chattanooga, Ronald Lee Ward of Centerville, and Daniel Alan Richardson (Laura) of Bonaire; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
