Mr James A Meigs' Obituary
Born Nov. 15, 1937 in Mobile Alabama. Preceded in death by his mother, Gladys, his father, Lewis, and many cousins. Jimmy lived in mobile most of his life and was an accomplished electrician. Jimmy loved sitting in the woods waiting on the prize white tail buck to wonder by. He enjoyed setting out a gill net on the west end of Dauphin Island and dragging in his catch while sipping on a cold drink. He enjoyed the company of his friends in many local taverns and mostly enjoyed the ladies that would show him the best attention. He was a friend to have and a enemy not to see. People who had the privilege to know him knew he was a man of his word and would help anyone who was down on their luck. He enjoyed sitting around on Sundays drinking a cold drink and watching NASCAR with his son and pulling for his favorite driver while cursing the ones he disliked the most. He was married 4 times and even after the marriage ended still cared and helped his ex-wives with moral support. He was a man who did not back down or take any stuff off anyone and was not scared to dish out punishment when required. He worked in the electrical business for most of his adult life and took pride in the work he done. He was an accomplished business owner for over 20years and retired only after he was unable to provide the service he had come accustom to given. Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
