James "Richard" McCully, age 68, a native of Wagarville, AL and a longtime resident of Irvington, AL passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dawes. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth McCully, siblings, Erma Ruth Harris, J.D. McCully, Aaron McCully, Horace McCully, Doris Nichols, Jeanette VanSchroder, and Roy McCully. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth McCully, 3 children, Jessica (Scott) Tanner, David Lavinskey, Amanda (David) Gafford, 4 grandchildren, Haleigh Tanner, Katlyn Lavinskey, Gaines Tanner, Norah Tanner, step grandchild, Michael Paul Gafford, siblings, John Henry McCully, Sherrie Henson, Val Lankford, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Serenity Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 12 noon. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
