James "Mac" Luttrell McDonald Sr., age 83, passed away January 1, 2016. James was a United States Navy Veteran, retiree of BellSouth, and lifetime member of the American Legion Post 250 of Fowl River, AL and VFW Post 49 of Mobile, AL. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Vaida McDonald and brother, Aubrey McDonald. He is survived by his children Richard (Vivian) Jackson, James “Mac” (Cathy) McDonald, Lesleigh (Woody) Wilson, loved one, Mary Ann McDonald, grandchildren Jim (Michelle) Jackson, Brandy (Justin) Weindorf, Katie (Robert) Sweet, Courtney McDonald, Spence (Kelly) McDonald, great grandchildren Brant Weindorf, Braylee Weindorf, Zoe Sweet, Henley Jackson, Khloe Sweet, Colt Jackson, and siblings, Thelma Coggin (Mark) Mahoney, Wilber McDonald, Larry (Fay) McDonald and Cheralyn (Jerald) Bolen including a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many friends. The gentlemen acting as pallbearers are Spence McDonald, Jerry Bolen, Robert Sweet III, Justin Weindorf, Denny McDonald, and David McDonald. Visitation will be January 4, 2016 from 10 am until 12 pm at Serenity Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside service in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
