Mr. James Leonard Lundy's Obituary
James "Pete" Lundy, age 85, a native and longtime resident of Mobile passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015. He was a Marine Corp and Army Veteran and also a member and Deacon of Magnolia Springs Baptist Church for over 60 years. He worked for Mobile Pulley and Machine Works for 38 years. He was also a Youth Director, VBS Directory, Sunday School teached, Music Director, and a Sunday School Superintendant.He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Lundy Russell and Rudy Alton Lundy. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Earnestine Hollinger Lundy, daughter, Sondra Lundy Gilbert, granddaughters, Julie Anna Gilbert Lindsey and Anne Elisabeth Gilbert, great grandson, Ezra Kale Lindsey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Serenity Fuenral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 10 am from Magnolia Springs Baptist Church. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the members of Magnolia Springs Baptist Church for their love and prayers and also to Covenant Hospice staff. Arrangements under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Theodore, AL.
