PERRY, GA – James C. “Stump” Langston, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, following a courageous fifteen-year battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Read Obituary
Jim and Kristie, I am so terribly sad tonight to learn that Stump has passed. He was one of the finest, sweetest friends that Al and were privileged to have. I'm so sorry I saw this too late to attend his service. My prayers are with you and all of Stump's family and friends as you learn to go on without his earthly presence.
James was truly one of, if not, the most beloved members of our PHS Class of 1961. Everybody loved our “Stump”! We’ve truly lost a wonderful fried. Prayers to the Langston Family!

We met James through his friend Carole Ray and were with him a good many times while he was in Jacksonville for treatment. He was always pleasant to be around and never complained while being very sick. He fought the hard fight to the end. RIP James.
Jim, Debbie, and family, Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you in the passing of Stump. He was a wonderful man, always spoke of his children, grandchildren and other family members, keeping us updated on what was going on. We were always told the latest fishing stories, with lots of laughs. Long conversations were a part of every meeting. He was a true friend one which we will always remember. We were so sorry to hear about Mr. James. Our prayers go out to you and your families during this time. Although we had not known him as long as others, he was obviously well liked in our church and community. I know you will miss him.
