James (Jim) R. Kanz (SSG Ret. USA), age 69, of Irvington, Alabama originally from Yakima,Washington, passed away December 11, 2015. He is preceded in death by Peter H. Kanz (Father), Pearl G. Kanz (Mother), and Rose Latta (sister). He is survived by his wife, Vickie J. Kanz, children James (Jimmy) R. Kanz, Jr. (wife Jennifer), Calliedonia (Callie) K. Majors (husband Jeremy), Peter J. Kanz (wife K.D.), Wendy J. Osborne (husband Rickey), grandchildren A. Blake Majors, James (Jamie) R. Kanz III., Peter (P.J) J. Kanz, Jason E. Kanz, Jared E. Kanz, Joseph G. Kanz, Jadyn Amelia-Christine Kanz, Nathan E. Kanz, several siblings, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help with final expenses. Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Serenity on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2 pm. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
