James Henry Johnson's Obituary
James Henry Johnson, born Dec. 18, 1930 to the late Emma Lee Ellis Johnson and Shadrick Monroe Johnson, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015. He served in the U.S. Navy from May of 1948 to Feb. 7, 1950 when he was discharged honorably. He was a member of Grand Bay Assembly of God and he loved to play his steel guitar. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Johnson Hicks, son, Charles Edward Nicholas, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his children, Jerry Dean Nicholas (Freeda), Donna Johnson Oliver (Roger), Michael Henry Johnson, John Franklin Johnson, 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, one sister, Clemie Klajderman, other relatives, and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home at 2 pm with visitation from 1 pm until service time. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
