i was blessed to have had the opportunity to be Mr Jacks caretaker and dear friend. I truly loved my job and Mr jack and i will never forget what a true friend he was to me. I took his passing very hard and honestly it took me a month to stop shedddiny tears when i talked about him although i’m shedding a few now but only because he was my best friend and i can hear him speaking those words to me “your my best friend” just like it was yesterday. Rest in peace, my dear friend, til we meet again!

When I first moved to Georgia I knew no one, but Jack took me under his wing and was an amazing friend up until my retirement form the college that he loved so well. He also kept me on the tennis courts almost seven days a week for many years. The two of us were the doubles champions several times. He also introduced Wanda and me to the wonders of St Simons Island. No one could have had a better friend.

I’ll miss Uncle Jack. I have happy memories of hanging out with my favorite cousins Kim and and Jay. Gloria was an amazing Aunt and artist. I still have one of her beach paintings hanging in my office. I enjoyed watching football with Jack and appreciated his career advice later on in my life. Love you Uncle Jack.
