Jack Joyner's Obituary
FT. VALLEY-
Jack Joyner, 82, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in Oaklawn Cemetery in Ft. Valley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry.
Mr. Joyner was born in Ft. Valley to the late Guyton H. and Corine Teece Joyner. He retired from Blue Bird Body Company after 44 years of service, where he was a group leader in the Tube Bending Department. He loved to dance and was a member of the 1800's Club in Macon. Mr. Joyner had a Bait and Pawn Shop in Ft. Valley for 20 years, and he enjoyed dealing in antiques and used furniture. "One man's junk is another man's treasure" were words he loved to say. Mr. Joyner spent his last year and a half with his son and family living in Dacula, Georgia.
Left to cherish the memories are his son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Mary Joyner of Dacula; his grandchildren, Susan Joyner Peed (Carey) and their children, Mary Alex and Bobby Jack, of Butler, Jill Joyner and her daughter, Ali, of Dacula, Kyle Joyner of Reynolds, and Stacy Roberts of Lizella; several great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Juanita Joyner Irby of Atlanta, and Willene Joyner Colson of Perry.
