INEZ FLOWERS BAKER's Obituary
PERRY –
Inez Flowers Baker, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Second Memorial Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 12 Noon, and the Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Chad Simmons officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Heart of Georgia Hospice 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Inez was born in Colquitt County to the late Arthur and Mittie Croft Dampier. She worked at Kellwood for seventeen years then took a position with Pabst Brewing Company/G. Heileman Brewing Company where she worked until they closed with over twenty years of service. Always a working lady, Inez began working as a sales associate at Sav-On-Shoes. After her “retirement,” Mrs. Inez spent most every day working with her daughter, Joanne Wells, at Perry Florist, doing whatever needed to be done. Mrs. Inez was a long-time member of Second Memorial Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family, and treasured every moment spent with her beloved children and their families.
Mrs. Inez was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Joe Flowers; her daughter, Joanne Flowers Wells; and her loving husband of eight years, Ralph Baker.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Inez are her son, Bobby and Wanda Flowers; her grandchildren, William and Rae Ann Wells, Joey and Keisha Wells, Michael and Michele Wells, Bobby Flowers, and Shane Flowers; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and nearly fifty great great-grandchildren and one great great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
