ILENE STEWART MORROW's Obituary
PERRY –
Ilene Stewart Morrow, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at Houston Lake Baptist Church. Entombment will be in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
Ilene was born in Alamogorda, New Mexico, to the late Robert and Alta Green Stewart. She married the love of her life, Joseph Jackson Morrow, Jr. They moved to Perry in 1953 where they would settle and raise their family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and for over forty years, hosted the annual Morrow Family Christmas celebration at her house. Ilene worked with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and retired after thirty years of service. She was a long-time member of Houston Lake Baptist Church and the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class. Ilene lived a wonderful life full of many joys and blessings for which she was thankful. Ilene was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving and devoted husband of sixty-one years, Rev. Joseph Morrow; her brother, Bruce Stewart; and her sisters, Vera Revels and Ura Culpepper.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Ilene are her children, Randa Parker (John Hudson) of Perry, GA, Allen Morrow (Nickie) of Cordele, GA, Jackie Morrow (Johnnie) of Savannah, GA, and Alyce Banks (Gregg) of Lizella, GA; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Allen Stewart (Doris) of Savannah, TN; her sister, Madeline Toler of Centerville, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
