Herbert Peters' Obituary
Mr. Peters was a native of Mobile, AL and was residing in Pinson, AL. He was a member of Huffman Baptist Church and recently joined First Baptist Church Pinson. Mr. Peters retired from AmSouth Bank (Mobile) and Ikon Office Solutions (Mobile and Birmingham). He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Anice Peters and sister, Carolyn Lands. Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Betty Eastland Peters, son, Gene Peters, daughter, Amy Peters Thrasher, grandchildren, Ashlyn Thrasher and Ayden Thrasher, brother, Robert "Sonny" (Carolyn) Peters, sisters, Shirley Cole and Patsy (Kenny) Tyson, brother-in-law, John Lands, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 7 pm with visitation starting 6 pm until service time.
