HENRY ALBRITTON JR's Obituary

Henry Albritton Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Friends of Perry Animal Shelter (FOPAS) at P.O. Box 2001, Perry, GA 31069 or online at https://www.fopas.org/donate.
Henry was born to Henry Albritton Sr. and Anna Chale Johnson Albritton on November 6, 1932. Family was important to Henry from a young age, and he carried this love as he grew his own family. Henry married Arleda Robbins and began their family which grew to include four daughters. Henry will be remembered for the endless love and support he showed them throughout their entire lives. Later in life, Henry married Eva Louise Childers. The pair shared their golden years together and were faithful companions for seven years.
Henry was a hard worker and servant to his country. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army where he served as a Sergeant. After retiring from the Army, he joined Beckham Construction Company and worked alongside Mr. Beckham for many years. After his time at Beckham Construction Company, he began working on crews for Houston County Roads and Bridges.
Henry’s talent for working with his hands was evident in his hobbies as well. He spent much of his time outdoors raising goats and tending to his garden. In addition to his hobbies, he was also involved in his community as a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry and as a Mason.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Arleda Albritton, his daughter; Donna Albritton, and his siblings; James Albritton, Millard Albritton, Loree Beasley, and Ann Devane.
Left to cherish the memories they made together are his loving wife; Louise Albritton, his children; Deborah A. Roberts (Dennis) of Lawrenceville, GA, Sharon A. Thompson (David) of Centerville, GA, Pam A. Collins (Tommy) of Perry, GA, Diane Harris of Ellaville, GA, and his grandchildren; Keith Roberts, Chris Thompson, Rachel Jamison, Michael Wright, Josh Collins, Amanda Fuller, Jason Harris, and Jennifer Hoffman and 14 Great Grandchildren.
