HELGA ACKERMANN's Obituary

Helga Reichenbach Ackermann, 80, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Macon, Georgia. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, Georgia with Pastor Allen Mueller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Helga was born on January 15, 1946, in Germany, to the late August Reichenbach and Lydia Peters Reichenbach. Helga made a significant mark through her extensive volunteer work, notably serving as the Church Secretary at Christ Lutheran Church for a decade. A dedicated member of Christ Lutheran Church, Helga was deeply involved in her community, where she contributed her time and skills to ensure smooth operations and support church activities.
Helga will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the quiet strength she brought to every aspect of her life, from her family to her church community.
Helga was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Irene Arth.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Helga are her loving children, Denise Tate (Kevin) of Grayson, Georgia, M. Erich Ackermann (Danu) of Seattle, Washington, and Kurt Ackermann of Cumming, Georgia; her five grandchildren, Laura Newman (Andrew), Nicholas Tate, Twilight Cassidy, Robin Cassidy, and Griffin Ackermann; one great-grandchild, Eleanor Newman; her brothers, Ozzy Oswald Reichenbach of Ohio and Erich Reichenbach of Thousand Oaks, California; along with three nieces, five nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
