Helen Sutfin Parke's Obituary
MARSHALLVILLE-
Helen Sutfin Parke, 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Unit in Perry. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. at The V.F.W. on Corder Road in Warner Robins. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests contributions to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Mrs. Parke was born in Clinton County, Michigan, to the late Ray Sutfin and Edna Blanche Richards. She was a Rural Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 15 years. Mrs. Parke enjoyed making quilts and spent lots of time volunteering at the V.F.W., where she held several different offices through the years. Her favorite thing to do, though, was to spend time with her grandchildren, all of whom she was so proud. Mrs. Parke was predeceased by three husbands, Earl Parish, Vern Hinckley, and Raymond Parke; one sister; and five brothers.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Parke are her daughters, Earlene K. Burkes of Marshallville, and Gwendolyn Kelley of Cottonwood, Arizona; her sons, Victor Parish of Ocala, Florida, Rex Parish of Perry, Gerald Parish of Marshallville, and Elden Parish of Lafayette, Indiana; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to leave condolences for the family by signing the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
