HEATHER AMY ROGERS's Obituary
HOUSTON COUNTY, GEORGIA -
Heather Amy Rogers, 50, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from an unknown medical condition. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Perry. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. and will be followed by the funeral at 3:00 p.m. A private interment will take place in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Heather was born on August 28, 1975, in Warner Robins, Georgia, attended schools in Perry and Peach County, and earned her general education diploma from Houston County. For many years, Heather was a waitress at Applebee’s in Perry. With her sweet and cheerful spirit and positive attitude, she often had many repeat customers who enjoyed seeing her and requested Heather to be their server. In her later years, she was also employed by White Diamond Grill in Bonaire, Georgia, where she would regularly see many familiar faces. She had a good work ethic and was always eager to work double shifts when needed.
Heather was an avid animal lover. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent working with the horses at Terry and Marilyn Maine’s farm in Bonaire. She was a hard worker and would attempt any task, continuously striving to learn new things and improve her skills. She preferred working outdoors, especially when the job had to do with animals. She also worked at Westmoreland Animal Hospital for a time. She had aspirations of attending classes and acquiring certification to eventually work in a veterinary clinic, nurturing and nursing animals back to good health.
To many in her family, Heather was affectionally known as “Weeble” – a name given to her by her maternal grandmother, Quinelle Stokes, also known as “MeMa.” While Heather was learning to walk, “MeMa” said she looked like a toy Weeble wobbling, and the nickname stuck forever! Over the past few months, Heather had been living in the mountains of Otto, North Carolina, with her mom and stepdad. She was enjoying the peace and tranquility of the mountains and her newfound friends at The Church of the Mountains in Clayton, Georgia. She thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood monthly gatherings, making new friends with her mom’s neighbors. Heather was profoundly living her life for Jesus and was full of laughter and joy. With the health issues that Heather had been experiencing, her family and friends are thankful that she is now living pain-free, walking the streets of gold in Heaven.
Heather was predeceased by her father, Wayne Rogers; her maternal grandmother, Quinelle Stokes; her maternal grandfather, Pete Stokes; and her paternal grandparents, Wynona and Willie A. Rogers.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Heather are her mother and stepfather, Connie and Tommy Storey of Otto, North Carolina; her son and daughter-in-law, Dalton and Laura Lynn Rogers of Macon; her son, Trey Sorvillo of Warner Robins; her granddaughter, Rylee Rogers; her sister, Neilie Rogers of Warner Robins; her nephews, Jacob Ingram and Jon Ingram; her niece, Ashlynn Lifsey (Jonathan); her maternal grandmother, Brenda Stokes of Perry; her great-nephew, Braylen Martin; her great-niece, Brooklynn Lifsey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.
