Hazel Ruth Nelson's Obituary
Hazel Ruth Nelson, age 93, a native of Bayou La Batre and a longtime resident of Irvington, AL passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015. A charter member of the Community of Christ Church located in Bayou La Batre, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Hulda Tillman, husband, Harvey Nelson, daughter, Hulda Steele. She is survived by son, Gary A. Nelson, grandchildren, Margaret (Billy) Pappas, George Johnston and Erika Nelson, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be held at Community of Christ Church on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.
