Harold Jerome Jennings' Obituary
PERRY-
Harold Jerome Jennings, 77, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 after a lengthy illness with emphysema. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Westfield School, P. O. Box 2300, Perry, GA 31069 or The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203.
Harold was born February 15, 1936, in Doerun, Georgia, to Jerome and Margaret Jennings, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his son, Michael Jennings.
Harold was a graduate of Pelham High School, Young Harris College, and Emory University. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, was an assistant examiner for the FDIC, and was employed at The Bank of Perry for 38 years. He was a charter member of Perry Rotary Club, serving as President and Secretary-Treasurer. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and a Will Watt Fellow. He formerly served as Chairman and Treasurer of the Perry Chamber of Commerce. Harold was a member of Perry United Methodist Church, sang in the choir for many years, and served on the Administrative Board.
Left to cherish the memories of Harold are his loving wife of 41 years, Audrey Carter Jennings of Perry; and his sister, Kaye Holland of Lilburn.
