Hamby Gurdin Davis' Obituary

Hamby Gurdin Davis, Sr., 83, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home.
Mr.Davis was born in Kathleen to the late Gady Gurdin Davis and Lois Harrison Davis. He was a long-time member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. Mr. Davis retired from Medusa Cement Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia Nelle Duckworth Davis; a daughter, Glenda Lynn "Glendy" Davis; his brother, Sidney Melton Davis; and his sisters, Mary Etta Davis and Vivian Davis.
Survivors include his children, Deborah Bryant (Randy) of Perry, Hamby Davis, Jr. (Sherron) of Marietta, Mary Beth Stone (Grady) of Columbus, Gary Davis (Le-Ann) of Jackson, and Lisa Maynard (Graham) of Ft. Valley; and 8 grandchildren.
