Guy Ennis Crowe's Obituary
PERRY- Guy Ennis Crowe, 81, passed away peacefully after a very brief illness. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary at First Baptist Church of Perry with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment with Masonic Rites will be at the Freedom Mausoleum in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069. Mr. Crowe was born in Irwin County and grew up in Marshallville. He proudly served our country in the GA Army National Guard for nearly 30 years during which time he traveled and served in many places across the country. Simultaneously, he worked as an electrician in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base for many years. He loved to laugh and spent a lot of his time trying to make others laugh. Guy was so proud to be a Shriner. He belonged to Middle Georgia Scottish Rite in Warner Robins, and Al Sihah Shrine Temple in Macon. He was also a member of the Legion of Honor Shrine Unit, and was a Past-President and Member of Perry Shrine Club. With the Shriners, Guy visited children in hospitals through the years. He was also proud to be a Mason and was a founding member of the Travelers Lodge F&AM #65 in Montezuma; was active with the Houston Lodge F&AM #35 in Perry; and was active with the Daylight Lodge F&AM #756 in Bonaire. Guy was invited to become a member of the Royal Order of the Jesters (ROJ) in Macon where he enjoyed his membership for many years. Guy was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Omie Davis Crowe, and his wife, Barbara Crowe. Left to cherish the memories of Ennis are his loving wife, Judy Hall Crowe of Perry; his daughter, Lisa Crowe-Smith (Bill) of Lizella; his bonus daughter, Jenny Barbee (Joe) of Bonaire; his grandson, Nicholas Scott (Amber) of Centerville; his bonus grandchildren, Alisha, Maryann, Skylar, Faith, and Elijah Barbee; his great-grandsons, Austin Smith, Avery Smith, and Zachary Scott who lovingly referred to him as “Granddaddy;” his great-granddaughter who lovingly referred to him as “Gran,” Hannah Scott; his siblings, Kenneth Crowe (Doris) of Lilburn, Carl Crowe (Theresa) of Ohio, Sandra McGowan of Perry, and Karen Akridge (Steve) of Perry; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and his godson, Eriek Griggers (Jacci) of Houston, Texas.
